ReadMe for !SRWE applet V0.2 03/04/00 This is a new version of the !SRWE applet originally written by Stephen Brown. There are one or two bug fixes, but the main change is the addition of wildcard searching. I am releasing this version with his permission. One of the bug fixes involves a change to the macro definition. For this change to take effect you must delete the original macro. To do this open the misc->macro menu. Then find the macro srwe and click so the cursor appears in the definition text. Then click delete and save the macro file. Quit OvationPro, update the !SRWE applet and re-run OvationPro. then go back to the misc->macro menu, enable and position the srwe icon if you want to and save the macro file. The applet now also defines a key macro on CS_F4 so if you don't like the button bar you can use the keyboard. The addition of wildcard searching allows a search to be made for any string with a particular style (use a search string of \.\*). Then by using \& as the replace string the style can be replaced with a different one without changing the string. There are all sorts of caveats with this of course. The scope of the style must be considered and it is probably more useful to use the whole word option as well. I have done a reasonable amount of testing, but only with OvPro 2.58. So no guarantees. I'm sure there will be more bugs so let me know if you have any problems or suggestions. Andy Ling Andy.Ling@quantel.com
